• Initiate and manage mid to long term research projects in the area of flow chemistry and formulation enhanced recycling and closeloop application of plastic materials.
• Supports interaction, communication, and collaboration with key business partner to better understand unmet customer needs and identify product development opportunities.
• Collaborate with BASF R&D, business and production teams, develop technical solutions using existing and new technologies, methods etc., to enable sustainable business.
• Regularly discuss, exchange and align activities with internal partners and global team.
• Feel comfortable to work in multicultural and international team environment.

• Proactively observe, analyze and assess scientific and technical trends/ literatures in materials preparation techniques.
• Transform the objectives into work plans for lab team, analyze & interpret experimental results.
• Supports the development of new, more efficient, and safer experimental processes.
• Feel comfortable and capable to conduct experiments in the lab.
• Good presentation skill, and proper documentation.

• Develop, motivate, inspire and provide technical guidance to lab assistants.
• Comply with regulations concerning safety, health and environment and implement.

• PhD in Chemistry and Polymer science relevant major.
• Hands-on experience in flow chemistry, green chemistry, formulation development (including PhD period) is preferred
• Broad knowledge of material characterization for chemical products
• Experience on PU and PA recycling and closeloop application is highly preferred.
• Well acquainted with standard IT applications, fluent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• A proactive team player, who shows initiative and a self-starter with an outgoing personality who can seize opportunities and move projects forward.
