Opportunity

Job Purpose

Finance & Accounting, a core function of a business that requires talents to manage business accounting from its basic entry to analytical process up to sophisticated financial reporting. We require people with strong end to end finance background to join this role who amongst other responsibilities shall own transition of accounting activities and manage new platform implementation projects.

Key responsibilities

• To manage transition of accounting activities from one location to another location - Assess and align the project timeline for each milestone, sit in with processing team and document operational procedure, evaluate and define changes to optimize as-is operational procedure, ensure the transition progress toward the project plan, coordinate and communication with relevant stakeholders to fix the problem.
• To manage new platform implementation co-ordinating with project teams - Evaluate the process in existing platform to assess the requirement for new platform, provide localization requirement for new platform setup, work with process owner to document the to-be process and operational procedure in new platform.
• To support new platform implementation by co-ordinating with project and product teams.
• To execute Maersk policies, control procedures in general accounting. Ensure compliance with local legal requirements with good quality.
• Performed a good collaboration with local team and GSC team
• Ensure period end close of book is performed on time with high quality.
• To closely follow up on emails and other information obtained from colleague to ensure good data quality on process.
• Work with auditor and make sure request are handled in time with good quality.
• Analytical ability for profitability movement aligns with business volume and trend.
• Work with commercial team to optimize the finance process per good understanding of business scenario
• Understood the business nature and process to monitor job costing completion status with business controlling team through checking job costing in operation system.

Key measures

• Transition project and new platform migration project go-live successful
• General accounting postings in the book are in line with policy and adequate support has been provided.
• Timely closure of books
• No or non-critical compliance issue observation by internal/external audits
