Research & Development

ExxonMobil Shanghai Technology Center (STC) opened in 2011 to develop and deliver innovative solutions to customers throughout China and Asia Pacific. In April 2018, we completed the multi-million dollar expansion of STC. The expansion includes a new, state-of-the-art research and development facility to support customer growth through collaboration and innovation. On February 15, 2023, ExxonMobil broke ground on construction of a new technology center at the Dayawan Petrochemical Industrial Park. Dayawan Technology Center will focus on developing new high performance products and innovative processes to bring products to commercial scale.

• Fully compliance with all company policies, including safety, control, data integrity, etc.
• Responsible for sample delivery, preparation and testing, ensure data accuracy and traceability, appropriate data analysis
• Responsible for equipment maintenance, including but not limited to periodical calibration, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, regular communication with suppliers, etc.
• Close collaboration with application development engineers and research scientists; proactively participate in technical projects
• Other tasks that relevant to the job

• B.S. in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer or relevant majors preferred. 0-3 working experience is preferred
• Enthusiastic, team player, "can-do" attitude, self-motivated
• Be patient and resilient, strong willingness and ability to learn new things
• Strong logic thinking and good problem solving skills
• Attention to details and accuracy
• Sound interpersonal skills
• Be able to read and write report in English, be able to communicate in English orally
• Experiences related to material rheology testing is preferred, polymer background is preferred
