Overall Purpose of The Job

• To undertake the role of General Manager, ensuring that supervision of construction & ship inspection survey projects, and other services undertaken within the regions are managed in accordance with SeaTec quality management system, Group policies and marine industry standards and best practise.
• To assist in the development and marketing of SeaTec services within China and the wider Asia region, and to provide assistance to V.Group Offices on technical matters in the region.
• To manage the China office on behalf of SeaTec and the remote SeaTec staff and contractors in the Asia region.
• To support the Management in the development of existing business and new services, and project management capability (people, processes and tools), within SeaTec China. To be responsible for developing the SeaTec China business plan and execute the same upon Approval from Management.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The Regional Manager will have responsibility for the delivery of designated projects from start up through to acceptance. Primary duties include:

• Assuring the technical quality of the services undertaken within the region.
• Monitoring the financial and technical performance of projects, including the control of overheads.
• Preparation of monthly business reports in accordance with the Management requirements.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure that projects meet the clients contractual requirements.
• Maintain and improve the business processes within the ISO quality accreditation for SeaTec China.
• Resource management of staff and contractors, and management supervision of operational and administration staff.
• Arranging and allocating appropriate funds to SeaTec China office and site offices.
• Acting as an acknowledged expert with regard to shipbuilding within the Engineering Group, providing services to both internal and external clients.
• Assisting the Management with staff performance reviews and providing guidance to office and site staff.
• Assisting the Management in the development and marketing of SeaTec services within China and the Asia region.
• Preparation of annual operating budgets for SeaTec China.
• Sales, Marketing and preparation of proposals.
• Ensuring that the strategic objectives set out in the SeaTec China business plan are achieved.
• Improving SeaTec services penetration within the V.Ships Shanghai and Singapore fleet
• Actively market and increase turnover of all SeaTec services in China.
• Develop, in conjunction with management, strategic plan to growth the SeaTec business in China and become to all extent a branch office marketing, selling and executing all SeaTec services.
• Increase reputation of SeaTec services in China and become leader in Ship building supervision and ESG activities in the region
