In the Packaging Sensing Group at Apple, we are seeking a senior process engineer to participate in the development of exciting, new products! You will be providing module assembly solutions and working with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers to develop and deploy new modules to mass production. Your efforts will be groundbreaking, often literally. We are looking for individuals who are creative in solving sophisticated problems with experience in ultrahigh-volume manufacturing. Description Work as a key module process engineer supporting sophisticated, high-volume sensing modules for iPhone, Watch, and more. Provide robust leadership in the areas of module construction, materials, equipment, processes. Work with factory partners to develop MP intent equipment, process, and adhesive materials. Provide concise, precise communication in both Chinese and English and program phase reviews to senior management. Look for candidates with these attributes: teamwork, high energy, driving a project on a tight schedule, and building a productive relationship with factory partners and working teams. The candidate home based can be in Shanghai, Suzhou, Shenzhen or Chengdu Minimum Qualifications

• BS and a minimum of 10 years OR MS/PhD and a minimum of 5-8 years relevant industry experience in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or similar.
• Experience working with high-precision assembly (PnP), semiconductor or MEMS packaging (Overmolding, Bonding, Soldering), or optoelectronic packaging
• Experience with Joint-Development-Manufacturing model with contractors to develop equipment, materials, and process to manufacture small, or precision electromechanical/optical systems
• English fluency required for both verbal and written communication
• Have a growth mindset for self and organization development, actively seeking new ways to grow and cultivating innovation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience engaging with multi-functional teams - Product Design, Product Engineering, Program Management, and Operations
• Experience shipping products in high-volume production
• Ability to work with international teams in different time zones
• Ability to travel to domestic factory partner sites on weekdays
• Preferred home base is Shanghai or Suzhou
