The Impact Youll Make in this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced China Report & BI Lead to join our dynamic team. As the China Report & BI Lead, you will play a pivotal role in building and managing our BI & reporting solutions. You will collaborate closely with all business functions and leaders to gather reporting requirements, establish and manage Power BI Server, and lead a team of Power BI & report developers to create high-quality, insightful reports to our business functions. Additionally, you will work closely with the China IT team and the Global Data Platform & Reporting Team to ensure seamless integration and alignment with our overall data strategy.

China Report & BI Lead is a critical role in our organization:

• Drive Data-Driven Decision-Making: By leading the development of robust reporting solutions, you will empower business leaders and teams to make informed decisions based on accurate and timely data.
• Enhance Operational Efficiency: Your expertise in managing Power BI Server and leading a team of developers will streamline reporting processes, reducing manual efforts and increasing productivity.
• Foster Collaboration: Working closely with China IT and the Global Data Platform & Reporting Team, you will ensure that our reporting solutions are aligned with global standards and best practices, fostering a collaborative and cohesive data ecosystem.
• Innovate and Improve: You will have the opportunity to introduce new tools, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve our reporting capabilities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Education and Professional Expertise

• Bachelors Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in a similar role, preferably within the medical device industry.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-level BI solutions and stacks of Power BI reports.
• Strong background in cloud platform, business intelligence, and commonly-used reporting solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Power BI as core BI platforms.
• Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate, or other relevant BI certifications.

Prefer to Have Skills

• Power BI Server Management: Proficiency in setting up, configuring, and managing Power BI Server environments.
• Power BI Development Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in developing Power BI applications, including creating interactive dashboards, custom reports, and data models
• Enterprise BI Solution Leadership: Proven track record of leading enterprise-level BI solutions from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scenario.
• Dashboard Design: Expertise in designing user-friendly, visually appealing, and interactive dashboards that effectively communicate data insights.
• DAX and M Language: Proficiency in using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M Language for advanced data manipulation and calculations within Power BI
• Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of BI developers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, and successfully delivering BI solutions and dashboards to businesses
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business leaders and stakeholders across different functions.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex data sets.
• Medical Device / Manufacturing Industry Experience: Deep understanding of the medical device industry (or relevant manufacturing industry), including analytics requirements, business processes and regulatory requirements.

Nice to Have Skills

• Multiple BI Platform Experience: Experience in developing or leading development projects using multiple BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.
• SQL and Data Modeling: Strong skills and knowledge in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes (particularly on Microsoft Azure technology stack).
• Advanced Analytics: Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive analytics or machine learning, to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with other cloud technologies and platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Azure.
• AI Integration: Experience in integrating AI capabilities into BI solutions to enhance data insights and automation
