Opportunity

Ensures that day-to-day Airfreight operations are executed in according to strategy and targets. Has responsibility for the optimisation of Processes and Productivity within the Airfreight Product in the AREA.

Purpose of the role

Responsible to direct and coordinate the day-to-day Gateway operations, negotiate airline spot rates, schedule consolidations, manage vendors and overall support the Air Freight product within the district while ensuring customer satisfaction. Geographically, it covers Shanghai, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Chengdu.

Job content & execution

Responsible

o Management of East and Central China Gateway o Weeekly/monthly performance of financials and operational KPIs (such as consol beneft, etc ) o Set GP improvement targets by gateway, Improve GP levels by consolidation improvements as well as cost improvements o Continuing improvement of processes at gateway with coordination from BPE team o Execute the Air Freight ad-hoc procurement strategy in local market o Establish key contacts with Airlines in local market and act as as communication leader o Accountable for management and maintenance of capacity and carrier allocations (incl BSA performance) o Monitor Performance levels / KPI for all carriers related with East and Central district o Ensure alignment with overseas gateways counterparts such as routing, RFS etc o Optimize consolidations with the objective of achieving best possible lowest net achieved costs and respective promised transit times o Coordinate with other mainland China gateways to ensure that own controlled flights are fulfilled o Set-up new Trade Lanes in cooperation with products team o Create uplift solutions to support new product developments o Set-up an aligned 3rd party provider management (eg warehouse operators / RFS) o Optimize gateway trucking feeding and de-feeding o Support district organisations with Air Freight expertise and build bridges between Product, Customer service and Commercial
