The Shanghai Office has an opening for a patent specialist.

Job Description

1. Filing and prosecuting patent applications.

2. Conducting patent infringement and validity analysis, assisting clients in patent invalidation proceedings and IP court litigation.

3. Providing IP counseling in licensing and corporate transactions.

4. Communicating with government and regulatory authorities.

5. Advising clients on other IP-related legal issues.

Qualifications

1. Degree in pharmaceutical, chemical or biological sciences.

2. At least 3 years experience in prosecuting/examining patent applications (patent examiner experience is a plus).

3. Passed the national patent agent qualifying examination, and preferably the national judicial examination.

4. Research and industry experience is a plus.

5. Outstanding writing and analytical skills.

6. Fluency in English.
