PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Datasphere is an end-to-end warehouse in the cloud that combines data management processes with advanced analytics. In SAP Datasphere, metadata management, business intelligence, planning, and augmented analytics are all built-in features in the solution. The creation of a business semantic layer brings real-life meaning to your data and opens new doors to truly smart decision-making and new insights. The Data Builder, is a basic component of SAP Datasphere, allows you to model your data sets, perform transformational and viewing operations, and produce the correlations and data insights youre looking for. The Repository is responsible for persisting and exchanging data model, transformations and semantic layer objects and providing service APIs to consumers. Our Repository team is a human-sized international team (France, Germany, China) with daily interactions and strong collaborations with other internal teams. We pay specific attention to Quality, Security, Scalability, Performance, Non-Regression to offer the best trustable service to our thousands of customers all around the world. We are strengthening our backend repository team in Xian China now and looking for great talents to join us for building the excellent product together.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Responsible for designing and building new features on a Cloud background service according to agreed timescales and workload estimations
• Responsible for coding, unit testing, reviewing, troubleshooting, and problem solving of product development.
• Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues, tuning, giving root cause and provide solutions.
• Proposing enhancements and innovations on top of existing solution is a plus.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Master or bachelor degree in Computer Science or related majors.

Solid backend development experiences with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Python, REST/OData, Cloud, Microservices etc.

Familiar with SQL and database design.

Familiar with version control tools such as Git, GitHub.

Experience to agile development methodologies like SCRUM is a plus.

Experience in building scalable, secure, high performance cloud products and services is a plus.

Proven track record in shipping software on time, with high quality.

Great problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and technical skills.

Strong written and oral English communication.

Strong interpersonal, communication and cross group collaboration skills
